Men’s Wellness
In addition to providing surgical and nonsurgical correction of sexual and urinary health issues, Wake Forest Men’s Health offers various men’s wellness programs. These are part of BestHealth, the community wellness outreach program of Wake Forest Baptist Health, which offers health seminars, screenings, and events to help patients live a healthier life.
Among our wellness services are:
Quit Smoking
Many smokers have trouble quitting. In fact, some of them quit several times before they’re able to stop for good. If you’re one of them, Wake Forest Men’s Health clinic can help. Utilizing the resources of Wake Forest Baptist Health, we can help you find the best options for smoking cessation including medication, counseling, and information from the American Lung Association, National Cancer Institute, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other sources.
Weight Loss for Men
If you’ve ever tried to lose weight, you probably know there is no easy, one-size-fits-all approach to successful weight reduction. That's because everyone struggles with weight for different reasons. At Wake Forest’s Baptist Health’s Weight Management Center, we focus on individuals, not pre-written diet and exercise plans.
Whether you choose weight loss surgery or our medical weight management program, our expert team of bariatric surgeons and weight loss specialists can tailor the program to your needs with customized nutrition plans, exercise development, and counseling. Plus, your weight management team is available for lifelong support.
Cardiovascular Assessments
Not all heart disease patients experience chest pain or trouble breathing. In fact, you may have heart disease and not even know it. Heart screenings are the best way to determine your risk and catch symptoms of disease early. Standard and advanced heart screenings are provided at the Wake Forest Baptist Heart and Vascular Center, as well as innovative new practices for the early detection of heart disease.
